Living longer while halting the aging process…
Monday, January 23rd, 2006I’ve just read an interesting article in the New Scientist about how repairing certain damage in your DNA, you could actually increase your life expectancy by 20%.
Now, these things have only been tested on mice as yet, so don’t expect it to be available at your local pharmacy soon. Essentially what happens is that Free Radicals attack and deform your DNA, and start deforming them.
But you can already start doing things now to start slowing the process of which things like drinking water and eating correctly (lots of veggies) can already help slowing down the process of the DNA being broken down. Unfortuantly, there is no way to totally stop this process yet, but the scientists are working on it.
