Skin Care: What Is Right For You
We are bombarded with advertising from various Skin Care companies everyday, in magazines, newspapers, TV and radio. [sin]Go to any department store or drug store|When you visit any cosmetic department|Just check out the cosemtic department of any store[/spin] there are hundreds of different products. Many products claim to do the same thing for your skin but the price varies widely.
Many of us have become aware that some of these products are owned by the same company. For example, L’Oreal owns Maybelline, Lancome, Helena Rubenstein and Biotherm just to name a few. However, we know that there is a huge difference in the pricing between Maybelline and Lancome. Is this because it is a more expensive formulation?
So what is the best product? You’ll need to understand what the standard ingredients are. All skin types need gentle cleansing with water-soluble cleansers. The standard cleansing agents used in cleansers is the same.Your choise is how much do you want to pay.
What about skin care tonics, fresheners or toners. Do you really need them if you used a good cleaner?
Should you exfoliate your skin? It can be beneficial for just about all skin types,in particular oily and dry skin.
Most importantly, protect you skin from sun damage. This protection can come from your moisturizing lotion and/or foundation (if used all over your face), with at least an SPF15.
Lastly, despite the hype from the costmetic industry, not everyone needs to us a mosturizer in their Skin Care regime. If you do need to use one, apply on the dry areas at night (even around the eyes). Let your own skin define what it needs rather than the cosmetic industry. Your routine should be adjusted day to day, month to month, season to season. Learn more at http://maketupandskincareips.com.
